Mark started working at Functioneer after working in the hospitality and travel industries for over
15 years. His last several years were spent working in management for a few elite and well
known hotel chains where he became equipped with the business savvy and experience to make
his "know how" your success when planning a meeting or group travel.
He completed his degree at the University of Madrid, Spain where he became fluent in the
language. His minor in Spanish is complimented by his minor in Hospitality Management and
Bachelors Degree from the University of Missouri Kansas City.
His industry knowledge, education, professional industry network and experience are easily

Please welcome Ann Graves to the Functioneer Sales Team!
Ann joins Functioneer bringing over 25 years of hotel sales experience. Her career began
straight out of college equipped with her Bachelor's Degree in Public Relations. Organizing the
logistics of your travel needs will be easy for Ann as she has held positions in hotels ranging
from Reservations,Secretary, Catering ,Front Desk, to Sales Manager. Finding the ideal venue
and professionally negotiating a budget conducive contract is second nature to Ann as she
spent her last ten years as Director of Sales in a large full service property and 5 years before
that as a Sales Manager. Functioneers clients will be afforded the benefits of Ann's inside
knowledge and managerial experience working for many of the major chains including Hilton
Hotels Worldwide and Hyatt Hotels.
She has vast knowledge and experience in all markets with special emphasis in Athletics, SMERF
Association, and Convention.
Ann believes you "pick and choose your battles" and "the real report card on one's life doesn't
come out until you're about 75 years old, and when hers does she says, I hope I made a
difference!
Ann enjoys her family, sports, cooking and shopping! We welcome Ann to the Functioneer

Your travel needs will be intuitively understood and efficiently managed with Janice helping you
orchestrate your group travel. After a 35 year career in Education, Janice brings her skills in
organization, time management, and attention to detail to the Functioneer family. She has an
intimate knowledge of sport having been a competitor, coach, and administrator, combined with
the organizational skills of someone who has taken teams around the Country and been
Tournament Director of numerous events. She understands how a company like Functioneer
could benefit the coach by allowing him/her to coach rather than take time to organize travel
plans.
As an athlete, Janice participated at the National Level in Swimming and Water Polo and began
her organizational training helping her mother run Winter Development Swim Meets at the age of
10. At the University of Tennessee, she started the Women’s Swimming Team in 1969. The
University recognized her with awards as a Swimming Champion and as the Outstanding
Residence Hall Manager of their Intramural Sports Programs.
After graduation, Janice became involved at the National Level with United States Water Polo,
Inc. and United States Master’s Swimming, Inc. working on and/or chairing committees and
organizing Training Camps, National Championships, and International Tournaments. She also
coached a high school Swimming (multiple State Championship qualifiers) and Water Polo (3
State Titles, 5 State MVP’s and over 50 All-Americans) team. She organized and took her Water
Polo Teams to National Events across the country and to Puerto Rico, scheduling air
transportation, ground transportation and hotel accommodations. In 1998 United States Water
Polo inducted her into their Hall of Fame for Noteworthy Contributions to Water Polo.
